COMMUNITY EMERGENCY RESPONSE TEAM (CERT)
An all-volunteer group of trained citizens committed to remaining ready to
assist local government, public safety agencies, and each other at all
times. CERT receives funding from the City of Calabasas and training from
the Los Angeles County Fire Department, and is administered by the City.
CERT assists in both emergency and non-emergency situations by:
• Promoting emergency safety for all community members to be prepared to
care for their families and themselves.
• Providing assistance for community events.
• Provide communications to the City in times of emergency and
non-emergency.
The City of Calabasas strives to educate and train CERT volunteers and to
make the community safer, stronger and better prepared in the face of
disasters of all kinds.
